The Board of SECOTO is proud to announce the appointment of Gies Abdelmonim Ahamed Mohamed as the Director General of SECOTO International Sports Events. This decision reflects the organization’s commitment to strong leadership and a clear vision in driving the global mission of uniting sports and environmental conservation. Upon his appointment, Mr. Gies emphasized his dedication to advancing the SECOTO initiative, particularly the upcoming Continental Green Cups (2026) and the World Green Cup (2027). These landmark events will merge sports, culture, and sustainability on a global stage, engaging youth, communities, and nations in the spirit of “We Play, We Connect, We Protect.” In his first executive decision, the Director General appointed four senior leaders to support him in managing the scope and scale of SECOTO’s global operations:
